Second Place: Gum Case
The Gum Case was invented to prevent fifteen piece
packs of sugerfree gum from falling apart in pockets
and purses. These larger packs of gum were not designed
to withstand a couple of days in pockets or purses without
support.
When they do spend a couple of days in pant pockets
or womens purses they fall apart and get sticks of gum
all over the place. Sometimes these sticks of gum fall
out of the wrapers and get all of the rest of your items
in your pockets or purses sticky and dirty with gum.
So I devised a gum case, with three different parts
a pin to hold the lid and case together letting the
lid open and close the Gume Case, supporting packs of
gum. The lid has a lip on the inside of it that latches
onto the outside of the case. The lid, which has a file
name of (gumlid1.stl) goes on top of and around the
outside of the part (gum.stl) which is the case. The
pin named (pin.stl) slids through the holes of the case
and lid with the pin head mating up with the counter
bore hole on the face of the end hinge of the lid.
After being assembled the case can be reopened and reclosed to slid and hold 15 piece packs of sugar free gum over and over again giving the packs of gum the supprot they've always needed.
