First Place: Mouse Radio
This innovation is meant to give a computer user more
ways to enjoy their ability to listen to the radio by
using their hand. By putting a tuning control and volume
control on the mouse, it allows the user to find a radio
station and turn up the volume with the thumb and “ring”
finger.
Since many websites offer free radio stations, the Mouse
Radio allows the user to find their station and adjust
the volume while completing another task on the computer.
The music will then come out of the speakers. Even when
the radio is not being used the volume control button
can be used to adjust the sound for other programs.
For instance, this would allow a computer gamer to turn
the sound up while competing in their game.
All in all this innovation is meant to make the computer
easier and more enjoyable to use.
Instructions:
The left side knob is the Volume Control, and the right side is the Tuning Knob. Turning the Volume Control Knob can increase or decrease the sound. By turning the Tuning Knob, the user can change the frequency of the receiver to change radio stations.
